Given the diversity of members within the Trident Angels, there are no restrictions related to the industry. However, there is a strong preference among angels to finance existing businesses that generate revenues (post-revenue). Pure start-ups (pre-revenue) may find it difficult to interest investors unless the entrepreneur has a strong track record of successful ventures.
Applications are received on a rolling basis and the most promising ones are invited to pitch their proposal during the investor meeting which is scheduled at least three times per year. These meetings will often allocate time for educational sessions by global experts in Angel Investing, as well as collaborative discussions about lessons learnt and strategic development.
